These flat cars with Barber Roller Bearing trucks have been specially modified to carry concrete railroad ties in Maintenance of Way trains for Union Pacific. The cars have a unique on-deck rail system to allow a gantry crane to traverse the cars to unload ties trackside. Union Pacific is one of the largest railroads in the United States, with over 32,000 miles of track across 23 western states.
