These 40’ box cars with Bettendorf trucks were built in 1942 for Union Pacific. The company was founded in 1862 and was part of the first Transcontinental Railroad in the United States. It continues to operate today as one of the largest Class 1 railroads in North America with over 32,000 miles of track.
